Myths about Submitting to 1000’s of search engines
Ok, this one won't take too much explaining: Google takes about 35-40% of all search engine users. Yahoo nets about 25-30%. MSN gets 15-20%. That leaves about 15-20% left for all those thousands of search engines that your site is being submitted to. But it doesn’t stop there....
AOL takes around 10% of that. A handful of others take another 5% which leaves, well basically nothing.
Concentrating on Google, Yahoo and MSN is what really pays off. Once your site is on “the Big 3” you will have covered almost all searches for your keywords. Don’t pay anyone to submit you to thousands of search engines because it does nothing for your website.
